Lucy is a great coach. She uncovered my blind spots. Her exceptional listening skills and ability to ask the right questions helped translate my aspirations into meaningful action. Through coaching she helped reveal new possibilities and sharpen my focus.

"Coaching is about the future. It’s about creating a future that’s different from the future that would have arrived by default if you had no coach and no sense of creativity and no commitment." – Steve Chandler

Coaching can have a powerful impact on your life. Our sessions will give you an opportunity to reflect on your professional or personal life, gain insights into what needs to change to create the future you want, and work on actionable steps to get you there.

How many sessions will I need, and what is the investment?

When people are contemplating a career or role change, or need clarity on their career direction, I offer a structured six session programme designed to help people understand themselves better, and in doing so, gain confidence to make future career decisions.

The sessions run for 75 minutes and cost $225 plus GST per session. These are either face to face (in Wellington) or online (eg. via Skype or Facetime). When doing the six session programme, clients receive a free workbook and notebook. Payment options are available to suit – either pay for a set number of sessions in advance (for instance, as part of a redundancy package, or if making international transfers) or at the end of each session.

As part of the six session programme, there are two external assessments I use to assess strengths and also interests as they relate to career options – one is $75 plus GST and the other $60 plus GST.

The frequency depends on your needs, but fortnightly sessions work well to help you maintain focus and get the best results. The session times are 9am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm.

When would I benefit from career change coaching?

Career coaching can be particularly helpful when:

  • you feel stuck in your job but don't know what you would rather be doing

  • you're thinking about starting your own small business or consultancy service but don't know where to start (or even whether you are suited to self employment)

  • you are unsure what skills, experiences or strengths you have that could be transferred to a new job or career

  • you are facing redundancy.

How can coaching conversations help?

The focus of the coaching conversations are ultimately determined by your needs, but if you have fallen out of love with your current job or career and want to explore options to find more meaningful work, our coaching conversations will typically help you:

  • get clarity on what you want to be doing for a living

  • clarify what type of work is meaningful to you, and what you have to offer

  • work through barriers and gain confidence by dealing with unhelpful mindsets

  • take action to create the future you deserve.

How do I know if you are the right career coach for me?

If you just want tips on CV writing or predicting interview questions, I’m possibly not the right coach for you. I can help you with that, but it is not the primary focus of my coaching. I am interested in helping you get more lasting results, and building your capability to manage your career and make decisions in line with the life you want to be living. We can have an initial phone conversation to ensure we are a good fit - book a 15m call here.
