A focused 60-minute session to clarify what you value most – and what that means for your career decisions.

Most people have a general sense of what they value. Fewer have worked out what their values actually mean for their working life, or realise that they are one of the most reliable inputs to career decision-making. They shape what energises you, what frustrates you, and what you might come to resent if you compromise on them.

That level of clarity changes things. It gives you a more honest basis for big career decisions, but also for the smaller ones: whether to take on more work, how to frame a difficult conversation with a manager, whether a role that looks good on the surface actually fits the life you want to be living.

That’s what the Values Clarity Session is designed to do.

Values Clarity Session

About the Values Clarity Session

The Values Clarity Session is a focused, one-off session to identify your core values and understand what they mean for your work and career decisions.

Before the session, you'll complete a structured online exercise to identify your seven core values. In the session, we work through what you've identified together – exploring what each value actually means to you in practice, and beginning to translate them into practical criteria for your work.

As that conversation develops, the order of your values can shift, or a value you ranked highly may mean something different than you initially assumed. That refinement is part of the work.

The details:

  • 60 minutes, conducted online via Microsoft Teams

  • After purchase you'll receive a structured preparation exercise – please allow 30–45 minutes to complete it, and email your results to Lucy@Luminous.co.nz ahead of your session

  • Sessions are prepaid and non-refundable. Rescheduling requires at least 24 hours weekday notice

  • Investment: NZ$297 incl. GST

What you will leave with:

  • A prioritised list of your seven core values, considered and refined

  • A clear sense of what each value means for you personally – in your work, your decisions, and your boundaries

  • An initial set of criteria your values point toward – the conditions that need to be present for work to genuinely suit you

  • A foundation you can apply immediately to any career decision you're currently weighing up.

If you go on to book the 1:1 coaching programme within 90 days, the cost of this session is credited toward the programme fee.
